Covering Letter
All manuscripts must be accompanied by a covering letter. This is a letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief in which the corresponding author states that he/she wishes to submit the manuscript to the IJBCS for consideration, that there is no conflict of interest, and that all authors have read and approved of the manuscript being submitted.

Conflict of interest
All authors are requested to disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest including any financial, personal or other relationships with other people or organizations within three years of beginning the submitted work that could inappropriately influence, or be perceived to influence, their work.

Student Papers
Manuscripts submitted by students are welcomed and will undergo peer review.

The following items must be present:
 One Author designated as corresponding Author:
 E-mail address
 Full postal address
 Telephone and fax numbers
 All necessary files have been uploaded:
 Keywords
 All figure captions
 All tables (including title, description, footnotes)

Further considerations:
 Has undergone English language check and correction
 Manuscript has been "spellchecked"
 References are in the correct format for this Journal
 All references mentioned in the Reference List are cited in the text, and vice versa
 Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Web)
 Colour figures are clearly marked as being intended for colour reproduction on the Web (free of charge) and in print or to be reproduced in colour on the Web (free of charge) and in black-and-white in print
 If only colour on the Web is required, black and white versions of the figures are also supplied for printing purposes

Submission of articles

Manuscripts should be typed double-spaced with 1-inch margins, and should be sent by email attachment in MSWord format to the Editorial Office (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
Manuscripts should be written in good English. Authors whose native language is not English are strongly advised to have their manuscripts checked by an English-speaking colleague prior to submission. Manuscripts that do not conform to standard English style, usage or grammar will be returned to the authors for modification prior to scientific review.

Title page

The title of the paper, the author's name and full affiliation address (including email) must be supplied in a separate file attached to the same email as your manuscript submission.

Abstract
Please provide a structured abstract of up to 250 words which should be divided into the following sections: Purpose/Aim (stating the main purposes and research question), Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Short reports and Case series should have a nonstructured abstract of up to 150 words. Reviews should have a nonstructured abstract of up to 250 words. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or references. The first time an abbreviated term is used, spell it out in full and follow with the abbreviation in parentheses, for example: Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP).

Keywords
Please provide 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

Text
Organize the text into an introductory section that conveys the background and purpose of the report, and then into sections titled ?Materials and Methods,? ?Results,? and ?Discussion.?

Text formatting
 Articles should be formatted as Microsoft Word.

 Use 12-point Times Roman font for text.
 Use italics for emphasis.
 Use the page numbering function to number the pages.
 Do not insert figures in the text.

Acknowledgments

Acknowledgments to individuals (other than authors) should be placed in a separate section before the reference list. The acknowledged individuals should have extended their direct help to the reported study. Names of funding organizations should be written in full. Authors are advised to obtain consent of those acknowledged.

Tables
 All tables should numbered using Arabic numerals.
 Tables should always be cited in text in consecutive numerical order.
 For each table, please supply a table heading. The table title should explain clearly and in brief all components of the table.
 Identify any previously published material by providing the original source in the form of a reference at the end of the table heading.
 Footnotes to tables should be indicated by superscript lower-case letters (or asterisks for signifi cance values and other statistical data) and included beneath the table body.

Graphics
TIFF, EPS, or JPEG formats are required (no word documents or power point slides for figures or photos). Line art should have a minimum resolution of 1000 dpi, halftone art (photos) a minimum of 300 dpi, and combination art (line/tone) a minimum of 500 dpi. Color figures should be submitted actual size.

References

IJBCS uses the AMA style for references, which assigns one number for each source and numbers them consecutively in the text. The references should be numbered consecutively in paranthesis as they appear in the text. The reference list should be typed double-spaced on a separate sheet.
